ACCEPTING THESE TERMS

By creating a Lumo account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Lumo.

Lumo is currently in beta: features may change, break or be withdrawn, and you should not rely on it as the only copy of an important document.

YOUR ACCOUNT

You must be at least 16 years old to use Lumo. Keep your sign-in details to yourself — you are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

One person, one account. Do not share an account with someone else.

SUBSCRIPTIONS AND BILLING

Lumo is sold as an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.

Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, at the price shown for your plan.

Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the Lumo app, or your Lumo account, does not cancel the subscription.

If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription.

AI CREDITS

Each plan includes a number of AI credits, which are consumed when a document is analysed. Credits are granted for a billing period and do not carry over. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or refunded separately, and are reset when a subscription ends or a refund is granted.

If your credits run out, you can still open the documents you already have; analysing new ones needs a plan with remaining credits.

REFUNDS

Purchases made in the app are billed by Apple or Google, and refunds for those purchases are decided by the store. Our full policy, including the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal in the EU and UK, is in the Refund Policy in Settings.

YOUR CONTENT

Your documents are yours. You keep all rights to everything you upload.

You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your files, to display them back to you, and to send their contents to our AI provider for analysis. Nothing more, and we do not use your documents to train any model.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

ACCEPTABLE USE

Do not use Lumo to store or process anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to hold. Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, access another user’s data, or resell access to it.

We may suspend or close an account that does.

AI OUTPUT IS NOT ADVICE

Lumo reads documents automatically and can get things wrong — an amount, a date, a name, a total. Always check anything that matters against the original document.

Nothing Lumo produces is financial, tax, legal or medical advice, and it should not be used as a substitute for professional advice or as evidence of a transaction.

AVAILABILITY

We aim to keep Lumo available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, an outage at a provider, or a fault in a beta build can all interrupt it. Keep your own copy of any document you cannot afford to lose.

ENDING YOUR USE

You can stop at any time: cancel your subscription in your store settings, and delete your account from Settings → Delete Account. Your data is erased after a 30-day grace period, which you can cancel by signing back in.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering the service — in which case we will give you reasonable notice and time to retrieve your documents.

LIABILITY

Lumo is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for loss of data beyond what we could reasonably have prevented.

Nothing here limits any right you have as a consumer under the law of your country, or our liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

CHANGES

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will update the effective date above and tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Lumo after that means you accept the new terms.
